New Book =)
So far, Go ask Alice has been very interesting. She seems to be the smart, lonely type of girl. She has moved to a whole new place and is just getting to know people. It seems as if she is a regular high school girl that is trying to fit in. Still, one issue with her is that she is very concerned about her weight and has a different realtioship with her parents ever since they moved. I also know that she will later on begin to use drugs- which right now i would have never predicted. She does not seem like the type of girl that would get hooked on any kinn dof drug. I predict that when she does begin taking drugs it will be because she wants to seem popular, impress someone or just not kn ow she is taking them.
I look forward to learning more about her character and her life.

Symbolism

Symbolism is seen all around us in different forms and ways. It is the applied use of symbols to represent something. For example i have seen different forms of symbolism in movies, books and images/pictures. One example of symbolism that i have seen was in the movie What Dreams May Come. In this movie the producer used paintings made by a character to descrie how they thought heaven would be for them. Paintigs, in a way was a connection between a widow and her husband that had passed away. This has been one of the most interesting forms of symbolism because it showed how great theyre love was- it was as if they were literally soulmates and would conect with each other even though the other was dead.
Another way that i have seen an example of symbolism was in The Joy Luck Club and teh book i just fiished reading- The Lovely Bones. In TJLC the author Amy used a swan to show hope that the mother had. In the Lovely Bones, on the other hand, the author used a charm braclet that Susie had as well. She had hope that she would be found in some way, that someone would discover how she had died. In bth of these books the use of symbolism was very strong.

Heavenn =)
On the other hand, i believe that heaven is not at all as it is described in this book because God wouldn't allow you to suffer. I say this because Susie is still able to see her family and murderer, yet she is not able to speak to them or tell them what really happened, i believe this is suffering. I think that once you die, its over. You are not able to see you're family or do anything on Earth anymore. In fact, I believe that when people say that they have seem ghosts or "Spirits" it is because a demon has taken the physical image of the dead person to haunt people and be an evil disturbance on Earth.

Secret Murderer
So far, not much evidence has been found to know who the murderer is. Yet, i predict that Susie's father is getting more and more suspicious of his neighbor Mr.Harvey due to the fact that he was lying to police about his dead wife.

After reading this amazinginterview about another novel that Alice Sebold had written called The Almost Moon- i noticed that she is an amzing writer that seems to have very unique, creative themes in her novels. For example, in this new book she wrote about a girl who murdered her mother. Although i would like to know where she comes up with these topics- i think she writes great books that captivate the readers attention and gets them thinking.
